Linda Gumelar Appreciates Number of Woman Ministers in Jokowi's Cabinet

Reported by Wuryanti Puspitasari Jakarta (Antara) - Linda Amalia Sari Gumelar who served as minister of women empowerment and child protection in the Second United Indonesia Cabinet II has appreciated the number of women in Presient Joko Widodo's Working Cabinet. "I appreciate the number of women reaching eight people in the "Working Cabinet," said Linda Amalia Sari Gumelar said here, Monday. Linda said it showed the commitment of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla to increase women's empowerment program. "It is also a step forward from a gender equality program," she said. She expected the eight women who were trusted to served as ministers in the "Working Cabinet" would work optimally. "Thus, it can be an inspiration for all women in our nation," she said. In the "Working Cabinet" for the Jokowi- JK 2014-2019 period, there were eight female ministers. They are Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Minister of Maritime and Fisheries Affairs Susi Pudjiastuti, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Lestari Priansari. Minister for State Owned Enterprises Rini M Soemarno, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, Minister of Health Nila F Moeloek, Minister of Social Services Khofifah Indra Parawansa, and Minister of Woman Empowerment and Child Protection Yohana Yembise.
