Jakarta (Antara) - Vice Chairman of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Busyro Muqoddas said that the "Working Cabinet" formed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) should be transparent and pro-people.
"KPK is ready to provide directives on how each ministry and state agency to work based on transparency and on empowering people. This is the mandate of the Constitution," said Busyro at the KPK building here Monday.
On Sunday (Oct 26), Jokowi announced 34 ministers who will help him for five years consisting of 20 people from professional backgrounds and 14 others were political party professionals.
It must conduct the two agendas if the government should be transparent, accountable and pro-people. These two perspectives should be done," said Busyro.
However, Busyro did not explain when it will provide the directives to the cabinet.
"We are waiting for the government, if they have already held a cabinet meeting, then it can already be carried out, the sooner the better," he said.
Busyro also did not explain whether the 34 ministers were clean from those categorized by the KPK as having yellow or red marks.
"I have to check it first as I do not remember it all," said Busyro.
Regarding State Officials Wealth Report (LHKPN) from the ministers, the KPK is still waiting for the report.
"Now everything is reported," said Busyro.
President Jokowi before forming his cabinet lineup submitted names of prospective ministers to the KPK for a track record check. The anti-graft body gave a red or yellow marks to those who had the potential to be involved in corruption.(*)
