Jakarta (Antara) - The People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) has confirmed that all political party factions will attend the inauguration of president Joko Widodo and vice-president Jusuf Kalla on October 20. "All factions have unanimously agreed to attend the inauguration of the president-elect and the vice-president-elect and make it a success," MPR chairman Zulkifli Hasan said after meeting with political party factions here on Monday. He noted that two political party factions and one faction from the Regional Representative Council (DPD) unanimously agreed to attend the inauguration at the parliament building. Zulkifli denied rumors that the event will be sabotaged or boycotted. "When it comes to Indonesia's image, all parties stand united," he observed. According to him, it was decided that the MPR will form several bodies, including a budget committee, a research body, and an information body, each consisting of 45 members, to welcome the presidential inauguration. "We do not follow a package system. The decision is unanimous. The bodies can be decided, including their job distribution and memberships, within an hour" he pointed out. (*)
