Indonesia Gives 49 Flight Clearances for Foreign Plane in Search of MH370

Jakarta (Antara) - Indonesia has given 49 flight clearances for aircraft from foreign countries in their search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, the Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a statement here on Friday.
"As the search for the missing MH370 plane is switched to southern corridor, which includes Indonesia's territory, we have so far given 49 flight clearances for foreign planes to pass our territory," the ministry said.
Among the foreign planes are those coming from Australia, the United States, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.
Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has been declared missing for 13 days. It took off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport last March 8 at 00.41 am and was supposed to land in Beijing at 06.30 am. But the plane lost contact to Subang air traffic control at around 02.40 am. The search for the missing plane still continues until now involving navy ships and aircraft from 25 countries including Indonesia. (*)
