Jokowi-Prabowo Meeting Deserves Appreciation: Deputy House Speaker

Mataram (Antara) - Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Agus Hermanto said he appreciated Thursday's meeting between President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and his former political rival Prabowo Subianto amid the political tension triggered by conflict between police and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The meeting between the two national leaders was "a bright spot" in the country's efforts to solve its present problem," Agus Hermanto said here on Friday. The meeting between two leaders deserve appreciation from all parties as a good signal to bring an end to the conflicts, he said. Prabowo and Jokowi represented two big opposing political factions before and after the presidential election, which was won by Jokowi.
