London, UK (Antara) - The Indonesia Netherlands Youth Society (INYS), a youth organization, conveyed its intentions to Indonesian Ambassador to the Netherlands I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja to continue strengthening cooperation among the youth for promoting the two countries.
The statement was delivered during a dialog held between the young Indonesian Dutch who had joined the INYS and the ambassador in The Hague, according to a press release from the Indonesian Embassy in The Hague, Netherlands, received by Antara here on Friday.
At the meeting, Chairman of INYS Andhika Rutten, along with several colleagues, shed light on the activities of the INYS in the last three years.
This year, the INYS, in cooperation with the Indonesian Embassy in The Hague, will hold an Indonesian speech contest for Dutch youths, seminars, and a Dutch teaching program for Indonesian students who are studying in the country.
Rennie Roos, the founder of INYS, spoke of his experiences in improving relations with the young people in Indonesia by establishing the INYS in Jakarta, helping children in Indonesia through e-learning programs, and encouraging the Dutch youths to gain insights into Indonesia through discussions on the relationship between both nations, among others.
Meanwhile, the ambassador stated that both countries faced the challenge of maintaining and improving bilateral relations, which had been running well.
"The sound relations between the two countries should continue to be strengthened through a variety of joint activities in various fields. Cooperation with the INYS is very important and strategic," the ambassador emphasized.(*)
