Jakarta (Antara) - PT Desy Timber has reported Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Deputy Chairman Adnan Pandu Praja to the Criminal Investigation Directorate at the National Police Headquarters Saturday for the alleged takeover of the timber company's shares.
"I represent the owner of the shares which have been taken over by force. We have been to the National Police Headquarters," Mukhlis Ramlan, lawyer of PT Desy Timber, said.
The case occurred when Adnan Pandu Praja became the timber company's lawyer in 2006, Mukhlis said.
On Friday, Bareskrim also detained KPK Deputy Chairman Bambang Widjojanto for questioning at 7.30 a.m. local time when he was driving his son to elementary school.
Bareskrim has named Widjojanto, a suspect in a 2010 regional election dispute case. He has been accused of prompting a witness to give false testimony at the Constitutional Court regarding the dispute in Kotawaringin Barat, Central Kalimantan, when he was still a lawyer.
Widjojanto was set free in the wee hours Saturday after being questioned at the Bareskrim building. (*) Reported by Maria Rosari
