Jakarta (Antara) -- Two more bodies of victims of AirAsia flight QZ8501, which crashed on December 28, were found on Tuesday, the tenth day of search operations, raising the total number of bodies found to 39. "Two bodies were found on the tenth day. They were not in good condition," Chief of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) Vice Marshal F. H. Bambang Soelistyo said at a press conference at the Basarnas headquarters. One of the bodies, he added, had been transported to Pangkalan Bun, while the other one was still aboard the ship. "Efforts are being made to take it to Pangkalan Bun tonight," he affirmed. At a press conference in the morning, Soelistyo stated that the total number of bodies found was 37 and that they had all been recovered. Search operations to find victims and debris have, so far, been carried out in four sectors, including two priority sectors. AirAsia flight QZ8501 carrying 162 passengers, including six cabin crew members and one technician, was traveling from Surabaya in East Java to Singapore when it crashed on Sunday (December 28) in the waters around Kumai Bay in Central Kalimantan, believably due to bad weather.
