Kutacane, Aceh, (Antara)- Flash floods from Mt Leuser ecosystem area in Southeast Aceh District, Aceh Province, affected 2,476 people in five villages in Lawe Sigala-gala sub-district, and damaged 420 homes.

The flooding also killed two residents, Orlina boru Sitorus (86) and Terang Sitanggang (1.5), Irwan of the Southeast Aceh disaster mitigation office, said here, Thursday.

Two post commands were set up in Semadam sub-district to help flood victims.

Public facilities such as places of worship and shoold building were also flooded.(*)
