Depok, W Java (Antara) -- Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Bambang Widjojanto said he was considering resigning from the KPK, after being named as a suspect by the police. "As a law enforcer, I have to be consistent with and abide by the constitution, legal morality and ethics," Widjojanto stated at his residence in Bojong Lio village, Cilodong, Depok city, West Java, on Saturday. He pointed out that one of the articles of the KPK's laws mentions that if (a KPK commissioner) is named as a suspect, he or she will be discharged through a presidential decision. "So I am considering tabling a resignation letter to the KPK leader," he added. "Let the KPK leader propose my dismissal to the president," he remarked. The police named Bambang Widjojanto as a suspect over a regional election dispute in 2010. (*)
