Jakarta (Antara) -- General Chairperson of the Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri expressed concerns over the frequent clashes that occur between the TNI (Indonesian Military) and police personnel in the country. During the event commemorating the party's 42nd anniversary at the party headquarters in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, on Saturday, she said she was very worried about the situation. "The conflict has disturbed national unity and cohesiveness. The two institutions have been given the honor of adding 'Republic of Indonesia' to their names. I have always used 'Republic of Indonesia' as the foundation of my firm political stance," the former president stated at the ceremony, which was attended by many dignitaries, including President Joko Widodo, Vice President Jusuf Kalla, and several cabinet ministers and party leaders.
