Hary Tanoe Will Resign from Hanura Party: Wiranto

Jakarta (Antara) - Hanura Party Chairman Wiranto said Hary Tanoesoedibjo (HT) will soon resign from the Hanura Party as he is supporting Prabowo Subianto and Hatta Rajasa. "We are already discussing that HT would like to 'resign' because he supports Prabowo-Hatta and Joko Widodo (Jokowi)-Jusuf Kalla (JK) all at once, so he can't be with the party," Wiranto said here on Tuesday. Wiranto said the decision was taken because HT is supporting both the Prabowo-Hatta and Jokowi-JK duos at the same time, while the party is only supporting the Jokowi-JK presidential-vice presidential candidates. "I have spoken internally with Hanura cadres that the position of HT is as an administrator as well as an entrepreneur, who has many friends. He is familiar with both figures (Prabowo and Jokowi) that is why he will help both of them as their best friend, but it is unlikely for that to happen in the party. We must be consistent who we are going to support," Wiranto added. Therefore, Wiranto wants to ensure that all Hanura cadres must be consistent with the party's official decision to support the Jokowi-JK pair.
