Jakarta (Antara) - State Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan briefed 185 middle-ranking army officers who will enter retirement on how to run business at corporate management training here on Monday. He asked the army officers who will enter retirement to become entrepreneurs. "It is better for army officers (who will enter retirement) to run business on their own so they will be freer and more independent. If they are successful this will be the result of their own efforts. And if they fail they will not blame other people," he said. Every individual, including army officers who will soon enter retirement has the capability to run business, he said. "It is not a matter of whether they can do it or not but it is a matter of whether they are willing to do it or not," he said. The corporate management training will last for eight weeks. The training also featured management expert Prof. Rhenald Khasalin who is also director of social enterprise Rumah Perubahan. Rhenald who is also one of the training's organizers said it is right to have Dahlan Iskan as speaker at the training. "Pak Dahlan is one of the persons who give priority to implementation over theory," he said. (*)
