Two More Terrorist Suspects Arrested in Central Java

Jakarta (Antara) - Police anti-terror squad Densus 88 arrested two more terrorist suspects in the Central Java cities of Surakarta and Purwokerto on Tuesday morning, a spokesman said.
"The two arrested terrorist suspects put on the police's most wanted list are identified as Samidi and Slamet. Both belong to the Badri group," head of the National Police (Polri)'s public relations bureau Brig. Gen. Boy Rafli Amar said here on Tuesday.
Slamet was arrested at Sadewa Street in Surakarta and Samidi in Gunung Sumbing Bancar Kembar area in Purwokerto, he said.
"The two terrorist suspects specialize in assembling bombs," he said.
They once attended a training in Central Sulawesi's Poso town, he said adding "Police seized bombs made of nitroglycerine substance at their houses in 2012."
The arrest is the latest in a series of operations targeting terrorist suspects.
Earlier, Densus 88 shot dead seven terrorist suspects and arrested alive 17 others during a standoff in Jakarta, Bandung, Kendal and Kebumen.
The seven were identified as Abu Roban, Bastari, Toni, Bayu alias Ucup, Budi alias Angga, Junet alias Encek and Sarame.
The bodies of the terrorist suspects were taken to the police hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, for an autopsy. (*)
