Two Terrorist Suspect Arrested in C Sulawesi

Palu, Central Sulawesi (Antara) - Two terrorist suspects were arrested in Desa Kilo area, Poso district, on Monday (Mar. 3) afternoon, after the shooting incident with police personnel, district police's Chief Adjunct Commissioner Susnadi stated here on Tuesday.
"Both the suspects are local residents. We believe that they are linked to a terror group because we found a revolver with 43 bullets and a homemade bomb at their homes," Susnadi noted.
He added that two policemen were injured during the shooting incident with the terrorist suspects. "They are now treated at the district hospital," Susnadi explained.
Earlier, spokesman to Central Sulawesi's Police Adjunct Commissioner Soemarmo confirmed that there was crossfire between the police and terrorist suspects in a house in Poso district.
According to him, the police had surrounded the Desa Kilo area in Poso district after getting information from local people about the existence of some people carrying guns in the area.
The raid was conducted on Monday (March 3) afternoon around 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Central Indonesian Time (WITA). (*)
