Jakarta (Antara) - A squad from police anti-terror unit Densus 88 arrested two suspected terrorists in Limpung village in the district of Batang, Central Java, on Wednesday. "Today at around 3pm two suspected terrorists AR alias Untung alias Bambang Nangka and SU were arrested. Suspect AR was shot in an effort to pacify him after he defied the arrest and later died," National Police head of public relations division Senior Commissioner Agus Rianto said. From them the police confiscated a pistol and eight bullets as evidence. Agus said the two were leaders of the Ciledug cell and part of the Abu Umar group who was the mastermind of the violent robbery in a jewelry shop in Tambora, West Jakarta, connected to fund raising for terrorist activities. "They are also involved in funding terrorist activities in Poso and BRI bank robbery in Batang, Central Java," he said. He said the police would continue developing the case.
