Japanese Minister Found Dead at Home for Susoected Suicide

Tokyo (ANTARA/Xinhua-0ANA) - Tadahiro Matushita, Japanese minister for post reform, and concurrently minister of state for financial services, was found dead at home in Tokyo Monday for suspected suicide, local media reported.
Matushita's wife discovered Matushita hanged himself in their own mansion at 16:45 local time, and called police. Matushita was taken to the hospital and confirmed dead around 19:30 local time.
Tokyo Metropolitan Police said the circumstances showed no sign of foul play after preliminary investigation, and the police found something like suicide note near the body.
Matushita scheduled to attend a meeting Monday afternoon, but he called his college at morning said he will be absent.
Tadahiro Matushita, 73, a member of the People's New Party, partner of the ruling Democratic Party, was appointed the ministerial position in the cabinet reshuffle at early June.(*)
