Indonesian Robotic Team to Compete in Hong Kong

Surabaya (ANTARA) - Indonesian robotic team, RI-NHO, from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, ITS, Surabaya to take stage in the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) in Hong Kong at August 19, 2012. "May they be awarded with victory in the day that is concurring with the Islamic holiday, Eid Ul Fitr, they have prepared themselves in the last few weeks," said the team's coach, Rudy Dikairono here Tuesday. The team that will be representing Indonesia was officially sent off by a number of the intitute's officials namely the institute's Rector Tri Yogi Yuwono DEA, the Vice Rector I Herman Sasongko, and academics on Monday, August 13, night. According ot Herman, the RI-NHO stands for "Robot ITS Nang Hong Kong" (ITS Robot at Hong Kong) is a prayer itself so that the robot can go to Hong Kong. "Hopefully, RI-NHO can win in Hong Kong," said Herman Sasongko . RI-NHO robot team is representing Indonesia at the international level after winning the national level Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) in 2012 at the Sasana Ganesha Cultural Bandung Institute of technology (ITB) on July 1, 2012. ITS robot victory won in a final stage competition against the Barelang 5.2 robotic team from the State's Polytechnic of Batam who was the champion in 2011. In the national contest, Jump-Ace robotic team of Gadjah Mada University, UGM, from Yogyakarta placed the third and the fourth position placed by the Rolpens team from the Surabaya Polytechnic of Electronic, PENS. RI-NHO team's victory was considered to be a special winning because the team managed to beat the 11 times winner PENS team and State's Polytechnic of Batam as last year's champion. (*)
