Sukabumi, W Java - Sukabumi district industries have exported clothing products including toupee and dolls to Asia, United States and Europe and expect to generate 582,000 US dollars in turnover. "The clothing products made at some factories in Sukabumi were exported to the three continents and the resulting monthly turnover was quite high, standing at more than 500,000 US dollars on an average," said Head of Sukabumi Trade Industry and Economic Cooperative Office (Diskoperindagsar) Agus Ernawan here on Tuesday. The industries have exported men's pants, short-sleeved shirts, rain wear, men's t-shirts and dolls to South Korea, United Kingdom, Sweden, Belgium, Italy, France and the US. Agus said that the products were originally made in Sukabumi. "Export demand for our clothing products is quite high. This provides an impetus to investors for further investment in Sukabumi," he added. Meanwhile, Head of Foreign Trade Department at Sukabumi Diskoperindagsar Victor Dollar said that the companies involved in making the products were PT Alpha Toy, PT Sentosa Utama Garmindo, PT Sensil Indonesia, CV Intan Mutiara Sanny and PT Korin Hair Indonesia. "Most of the export products are sent to South Korea," he added. Head of Labor and Transmigration Office in Sukabumi Aam Amar Halim said that 70 percent of the estimated 664 foreign companies in Sukabumi were owned by South Korean investors. (*)
