Jakarta (ANTARA) - Higher Education, Science, and Technology Minister Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro reminded awardees of the scholarship granted by the Finance Ministry's Endowment Fund for Education Agency (LPDP) to contribute to Indonesia after completing their studies.
"Indonesia needs the finest talents like you to achieve the Golden Indonesia 2045 target. We will not be able to actualize the target without quality talents," he told 250 LPDP scholarship awardees during a briefing session in Jakarta on Wednesday (November 20) evening.
In his office's release cited here on Thursday, Brodjonegoro urged the participants to master and harness the knowledge they will gain and utilize it to drive progress and growth in Indonesia through their respective expertise.

He motivated the stipendiaries of the 246th batch of the LPDP scholarship program to make the most of the opportunity they have earned to grow into a resilient person capable of braving contemporary challenges.
At the event, the minister also suggested that the awardees forge relations with the locals of their countries of destination to fully draw on their overseas stay.
"While you are abroad, it will be better for you to master local languages and cultures, mingle with local friends, and gain knowledge to the best extent," he told the audience.
LPDP President Director Andi Hadiyanto, for his part, highlighted that for the 246th batch of its scholarship program, his agency will fund the studies of the 250 awardees in 42 majors at high-quality universities in 15 countries, including Indonesia.
Highlighting the diverse majors, he expressed hope that the scholarship awardees would be able to help the Indonesian nation deal with the challenges ahead and achieve progress.
"GREENeration of Golden Indonesia 2045: Take Care of Yourself, Take Care of Indonesia. We grow, Indonesia grows." was the theme of the briefing session.
