Jakarta, (Antara) - Floods inundated 20 locations in Bandung and Cikampek toll road following incessant heavy rains on Sunday afternoon.
The flooded locations included the Bandung railway station; Cicendo Hospital; Andiri Market; and main roads such as Pagarsih, Wastukancana, Lodaya, Pasirkoja, A. Yani, Sukagalih, and Sudirman.
The Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) said on its Twitter account on Monday that flood waters, reaching a height of between 30 and 60, submerged parts of the city as several rivers, including River Citepus, overflowed.
The flooding and heavy rains caused several trees to fall and damaged two cars, a house and another building.
The operation of trains in Bandung was disrupted for two hours, and a number of documents of Cicendo Hospital were damaged.
At around 10 pm local time, the water began to recede.(*)
