Indonesia, Thailand to Hold Joint Naval Exercise in June

Surabaya, E Java (Antara) - Indonesia and Thailand will conduct joint naval exercises, \"Exercise Sea Garuda 18AB-15,\" on the Gulf of Thailand from June 2 to 9, 2015.
Indonesian delegates led by Col. (marine) Mohamad Zaenal and Thai delegates led by Captain Paisarn Meesri of the Royal Thai Fleet discussed the details of the joint exercises on March 18-19, the Indonesian Navy\'s information division said in a statement here on Friday.
According to Zaenal, the joint naval exercises will be conducted in three stages: Base stadium, Marine Maneuver, and Ending base.
The Indonesian Navy will involve two warships (KRI), namely KRI Usman Harun 359 and KRI Hasanuddin 366, a CN-235 plane, and a helicopter, Bell BO-105.
The Thai Navy will involve three warships: MTMS Rakut Rajakumarn, HTMS Rattanakosin, and HTMS Sukhothai, one plane, and two helicopters. (*) Reported by Edy M Ya\'kub
