President Jokowi Arrives in Manila

Manila (Antara) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo arrived in Manila on Sunday for a state visit.
The President arrived at Col Jesus Villamor Airport in Manila at around 17.00 local time after a two-hour flight from Brunei Darussalam International Airport.
Shortly after arriving at the airport, the Indonesian leader and entourage, including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Sofyan Djalil, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Manpower Minister Hanif Dhakiri and Chief of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection and Placement Agency (BNP3TKI) Nusron Wahid went straight to Diamond Hotel in Manila.
On Monday, the President is scheduled to visit Rizal Park Monument and hold a get-together with the Indonesian community in the Philippines.
President Jokowi will meet with his Philippine counterpart, Benigno Aquino III at the Malacanang Palace on Monday evening before delegations of the two neighboring countries hold a bilateral meeting.
During the meeting both delegations will sign a number of cooperation agreements.
On Monday night, the Philippine president will hold a state banquet at Col Jesus Villamor Airport in honor of the Indonesian leader. (*)
