Inspector General Andayono had failed to meet the summons on January 20, as well, stating that he had to return to Balikpapan after receiving a report about a sinking ship. Retired Brigadier General Heru Purwanto had also failed to the meet the summons on the same day, but had given no reason for it. According to article 112 of the Civil Procedures Code, if a person concerned fails to meet the summons for the third time, investigators could bring him/her in. Appealed to the police officers to meet the KPK's summons, Nugraha said, "They can decide a suitable date and we will adjust our schedule accordingly." (*)
