Jakarta (Antara) -- The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has prepared prosecutors to execute five convicts sentenced to death, a spokesman for the office, Tony T. Spontana, said here on Wednesday. The prosecutors who will be implementing the court's rulings at the end of this year have been made ready in the regions concerned to coordinate with the local police command, he added. "They will soon finalize the location and time, including the date and hour, of the execution," Spontana stated. According to the spokesman, two of the five convicts soon be executed were put on a death row in a case of premeditated murder, while the other three were sentenced for narcotics-related crimes. At present, one of the convicts is being held in a penitentiary in Tangerang, Banten, two are in Batam in the Riau Islands, and two others are in Nusakambangan, Central Java. The AGO decided to execute the five convicts after all the judicial aspects were met. "The only factor left is the location, which is still being kept secret," Junior Attorney General for General Crimes Basyuni Masyarif noted here on Friday. (*)
