Denpasar, Bali (Antara) - The regional police command in Bali will deploy its forces to secure the national congress of Golkar Party scheduled to be opened on Sunday evening and to last until December 3 to elect party's next leader. "Condition in Bali is secure but in view of latest developments anarchism may possibly happen. In view of that we will station forces in certain locations and ordered them to safeguard the event," Bali regional police commander Inspector General Albertus Julius Benny Mokalu said at a roll call here on Sunday. The roll call was attended by 34 anti-anarchism units who came in a black uniform with head protection gear and also firearms. He said he had received short messages that anarchy may possibly happen. Aburizal Bakrie, the current general chairman of Golkar Party has decided to proceed with his plan to hold the congress despite protests from a number of party cadres who considered the congress as running against party rules and was aimed at merely securing Aburizal's reelection. Mokalu said "indeed there have been short messages coming in but so far after checking the sea port we have not seen any sign of it. Perhaps certain groups have come but we do not know who they are," he said. (*)
