Police Hunting Robbers Who Killed Policeman in Riau

Pekanbaru, Riau (Antara) - The police precinct personnel of Pekanbaru, Riau province, have been hunting down the rifle armed-robbers who allegedly killed a policeman chief brigadier Harianto Bahari, the local police spokesman said.
The victim, Chief Brigadier Harianto died after being rushed to a hospital, said deputy chief of the Pekanbaru police precinct Adjunct Senior Commissioner Sugeng Putut Wicaksono, here on Sunday.
Harianto was shot dead in the chest when he joined searching the herd of robbers at Kulim street on Sunday afternoon, Sugeng stated.
According to him, police have successfully nabbed two of the robbers, meanwhile the rest of them are believed to be still around the location of the Kulim street.
In addition, the police have also confiscated the evidence, namely a minivan of black toyota avanza.
Previously the shootout between personnel of the local police personnel and the robbers occurred at the Kulim street that killed Chief Brigadier Harianto. (*)
