PKB Thankful to Yudhoyono

Jakarta (Antara) - The Nation Awakening Party (PKB) has expressed gratitude to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono whose second term of office will end soon for his achievements. During his 10 years of leadership, President Yudhoyono has made a lot of progress which is worth appreciating, PKB Secretary General Muhammad Hanif Dhakiri said here on Sunday. Under the leadership of President Yudhoyono, Indonesia has become a respected nation thanks to the ever increasingly conducive domestic situation, he said. "Indonesia has also played a role at regional and international levels that needs to be reckoned with," he said. PKB expressed hope that Yudhoyono will continue to dedicate his life to the nation, the state and even the world, he said. Dhakiri said PKB is also thankful to Yudhoyono for maintaining what he terms productive and useful cooperation with the party. Yudhoyono's attention to the party and the extended family of Islamic organization Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) is very useful. "For instance, Yudhoyono's attention to the Islamic boarding schools and educational institutions of NU is very concrete," he said. (*)
