Tangerang, Banten (Antara) - A total of 454 security officials at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta international airport in Tangerang, Banten, have undergone urine test, according to airport spokesman. Soekarno-Hatta airport senior General Manager Bram Bharoto Tjiptadi said here on Thursday that the urine test to the airport security officials was the effort of airport management company PT Angkasa Pura II in cooperation with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) to prevent their involvement in narcotics network. "It is our effort to get an optimum result from this urine test as part of our coordination with the National Narcotics Agency," Bram said, the urine test was conducted suddenly without notifying the security officials. He stated that the airport security officials had to undergo the urine test because they were fully responsible to ensure security at the airport tracks, considered prone to drug smuggling. "Therefore, all security officials at terminal 1, 2, and 3 and at cargo terminal are required to undergo continuous urine test," Bram confirmed. (*)
