Yogyakarta (Antara) - Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko Temple Tourism Park (PT TWCBPRB) will be reopened on Wednesday (Feb. 26) for tourist visitors after the volcanic ash from the Mount Kelud eruption was cleared up. "Earlier, the TWCBPRB management had opened the tourism park with limited access for tourist visits since (Feb. 19)," Company Secretary of PT TWCBPRB Achmad Muchlis stated here on Tuesday. Muchlis noted that the decision to open the park for tourists came after PT TWCBPRB coordinated with the Borobudur Conservation Board and Heritage Preservation Board of Yogyakarta and Central Java. "Meanwhile, the normal operations at the Prambanan and Ratu Boko Temples will commence on Friday (Feb. 28)," added Muchlis. After the normal operations resume, the management of the tourism park will be ready to cater to the tourists visiting the Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko Temples. The ticket prices are going to be normal and the prevailing 30 percent discount during the disaster response period will be revoked. After the eruption of Mount Kelud on (Feb. 13), the Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko Temples were closed to the public on (Feb. 14), as the volcanic ash had covered some parts of those areas. The PT TWCBPRB has worked in tandem with the Borobudur Conservation Board, Heritage Preservation Board of Yogyakarta and Central Java, police and military personnel, and volunteers to clear up the volcanic ash.
