Jakarta (Antara) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned director general for regional autonomy Djohermansyah Djohan for questioning in graft case in regional election dispute handled by the graft tainted Constitutional Court (MK).
Djohan was questioned in the graft case with suspects Susi Tur Andayani and Tubagus Chaeri Wardana who recently were arrested on charge of bribing MK chairman Akil Mochtar.
"Today's investigation was a rescheduling of investigation postponed on Wednesday," KPK's chief spokesman Priharsa Nugraha said here on Friday.
Susi was believed to be a courier of Tubagus Cheri Wardana, a businessman, to convey bribe money to Akil to change the decision on the result of elections for new regent in Lebak.
Tubagus , a brother of Banten Governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah, bribed Akil to change the decision of the district election commission (KPU) on the result of the Lebak district elections for new regent for the district.
A panel of MK judges headed by Akil Mochtar on Oct 1 decided to cancel the result of the election and pass order to the district KPU to hold re-election .
Akil was also charged with receiving bribe in settling similar election disputes in Gunung Mas regency in Central Kalimantan, and a number of other districts.
Later KPK also charged Akil with money laundering confiscating a number of his assets and freezing his bank accounts. (*)
