Jakarta (Antara) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is looking for suspects in the graft case of suspended chairman of the Constitutional Court Akil Mochtar. Akil has been arrested by KPK after he was caught red handed receiving bribe money in his house early this month. "KPK believes there are more suspects in Akil case." Kpk spokesman Johan Budi said here on Wednesday. KPK already arrested and named four other suspects including the regent of Gunung Mas of South Kalimantan, a lawmaker, a lawyer and a businessman. A team of KPK investigators in Palembang, South Sumatra on Tuesday raided the office and house of Palembang mayor Romi Herton and office and house of regent of Empat Lawang Budi Antoni Aljufri. "KPK also questioned a number of the city administration officials including city secretary Ucok Hidayat, head of the city park and street illumination division Alex Verdinandus, head of the Integrated Licensing Service office Diankis Yulianto, and head of the city master plan office Isnaeni Madani," Johan said. Johan said the investigation was linked to the confiscation of Rp2.7 billion from the house of Akil and a number of luxury cars. The evidence showed the possibility of Akil having received bribe money from others involving dispute over result of district elections, he said. (*)
