Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto highlighted that the numerous international invitations he has received for bilateral and multilateral meetings demonstrate that Indonesia is respected globally.
"This shows that Indonesia is highly respected and is invited to bilateral and multilateral meetings to discuss issues that are very important and not only about the economy but also about the current geopolitical atmosphere which is full of tension," the president remarked here, Friday.
Giving his remarks in a press statement at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, he explained that several global parties await Indonesia's response to geopolitical and economic developments.
Since taking office as president, Prabowo has received numerous diplomatic invitations for meetings with leaders of other countries.

Prabowo will commence his overseas trip by first meeting President of China Xi Jinping. Prabowo will thereafter continue his journey to the United States to meet President Joe Biden.
Following the two bilateral meetings, Prabowo will attend the APEC Summit in Lima, Peru, and the G20 Summit in Brazil.
Prabowo will also meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and will visit several countries in the Middle East.
These overseas visits by Prabowo reflect Indonesia's commitment to respecting, maintaining, and strengthening sound diplomatic relations with these countries.
"This is also (a matter of) honor (for us), and we will maintain good relations with all parties," he affirmed.
During his overseas trip, President Prabowo is accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
Prabowo and the Indonesian delegation departed aboard the Republic of Indonesia aircraft from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta on Friday at around 10:25 a.m. local time.
