Jambi (Antara) - Some 304 districts and cities in Indonesia are prone to natural disasters, according to Social Affairs Minister Indar Parawansa. Of the 304 districts and cities, 274 were are prone to landslides, and the rest to floods, volcano eruptions, and tsunamis, Minister Parawansa said after attending a function to observe National Social Solidarity Day, here, Saturday. Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) efforts aiming to reduce the damage caused by natural hazards and public awareness of anticipating disasters are crucial in those disaster-prone areas.(*)
