Jokowi to Announce Cabinet Lineup Soon

Jakarta (Antara) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will announce his cabinet lineup not on Tuesday but as soon as possible, according to Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Deputy Secretary General Ahmad Basarah. "The announcement of cabinet lineup is a presidential prerogative. According to the information we received, Jokowi will not announce it today but as soon as possible," Basara said here on Tuesday. Based on the information, he noted, Jokowi was still considering the recommendations of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) about some names it found problematic. Basarah stressed that Jokowi had not revealed when he would announce the lineup, but would do it as soon as possible and at a right time. A House of Representatives member from the PDIP faction expressed hope that President Jokowi will announce the names of his cabinet ministers in a couple of days. (*)
