Jakarta (Antara) - Public Housing Ministry is running public housing exhibition in various regions targeting low-income people, so that they could easily afford a home. "Through the exhibition, low-income group can own a comfortable and affordable home," Public Housing Minister Djan Faridz stated here on Saturday. The public housing exhibition is currently being held at the Jakarta Convention Center, September 3-7, 2014, and will also take place in other cities in the country, including in Medan (September 11 -19), Palembang (September 20-28), Banjarmasin (September 22-30), Pontianak (September 28 to October 5), and Makassar (October 1 to October 9). The event will also be held in Surabaya (September 17-25), Semarang (October 10-19), Bekasi (September 27 to October 5), Tangerang (October 8-16), and Karawang (October 4-12). The minister reiterated that the government was continuing to distribute housing loan liquidity facility (FLPP). "The government could still provide home mortgage, namely FLPP, for simple homes if demand is raised by outsiders, as the government cannot modify the rules by itself," he admitted. (*)
