Jakarta (Antara) - Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Greg Moriarty is pleased to invite highly qualified Indonesian students, researchers, professionals to apply for the 2015 Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships. The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are the Australian Government's internationally competitive, merit-based scholarships programme providing opportunities for high-achieving scholars, researchers, and professionals to undertake study, research, and professional development across a broad range of disciplines in Australia, the Australian Embassy here said on its official website on Tuesday. The Australian Government funding of approximately $40 million recognises the important role that education plays in developing ongoing educational, research and professional links between individuals, organisations and countries. The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships build Australia¿s reputation as a high quality provider of education and training and a leader in research and innovation. "One hundred and eighty Indonesians have been awarded these prestigious scholarships and fellowships since 2007 and we hope that there will be more Indonesians receiving the awards in 2015", said Ambassador Moriarty. "Indonesians awardees have been building enduring professional and personal networks with Australian scholars, which continue long after they have returned to Indonesia. This leads to strong, ongoing ties between our two countries" added Ambassador Moriarty. The opportunities available for Indonesian scholars, researchers and professionals include: Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarships, Endeavour Vocational Education and Training, Scholarships Endeavour Research Fellowships and Endeavour Executive Fellowships. Applications for the 2015 Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships will be closed on 30 June 2014. The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are part of the Australia Awards initiative which brings under one banner scholarships offered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Australian Centre for International Agriculture Research.
