Jakarta (Antara) - A moderate earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale hits Talaud island, North Sulawesi province, on Sunday at 15.53 West Indonesian Time (WIB), data from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said. The quake was centered at 16 kilometers southwest of the Talaud island at a depth of 24 kilometers. No immediate reports on damages or casualties of the quake have been made available.
