London (Antara) - The Indonesian Consulate General in Dubai repatriated 13 Indonesian migrant workers in the third week of December, an Indonesian diplomat told Antara here on Tuesday. Indonesia's consul for social and cultural affairs function at the Dubai Consulate General (KJRI), Adiguna Wijaya, said the Indonesian workers who were repatriated in the third week were female. They originated from West Java and Banten provinces. He said that the KJRI in Dubai had worked closely with the local immigration, police, court, recruitment agency and employers to settle the Indonesian the problems faced by migrant workers. When seeing off their departure, Indonesian Consul General in Dubai Imam Santoso hoped that would returned home and have family reunions soon. He expressed hope that the repatriated Indonesians would inform their relatives and other people in the country about their experience, particularly the bad one, so that it would serve as a lesson. The 13 Indonesian migrant workers have worked in Dubai and in other emirates which fall into the work areas of the Indonesian Consulate General in Dubai. Since January 2013, the KJRI in Dubai has assisted the repatriation of 255 Indonesian workers. (*)
