Jakarta (Antara) - Rupiah lost more value against the US dollar on Monday on report of the US central bank cutting its monetary stimulus. The Indonesian currency closed 430 points lower at 11,350 per dollar from 10,920 points earlier. Domestic economic data such as about trade deficit released on Monday discouraged the market player contributing to the rupiah fall Monex Investindo Futures' researcher Ariston Tjendra said here on Monday. Indonesia's trade deficit widened in July with a surge in import despite a 2.37 percent increase in export. Wider trade deficit and contraction in the manufacturing sector reflected poor economic performance of the country, Ariston said. (*)
