Lion Air Skidded in Jalaluddin Airport

Gorontalo (Antara) - An airplane with flight number JT-892 belonging to Lion Air which left Jakarta for Gorontalo city in northern part of Sulawesi on Tuesday, skidded in Gorontalo's Jalaluddin airport, a passenger said.
The plane allegedly hit some cows which were in the airport runway, Afrianto Pauweni,24, one of the passengers said here on Tuesday.
According to him, when the plane was about to land at around 9.00 p.m. Central Indonesia Standard time (WITA), it was shaking before reaching the airport runway.
"We heard the sound of explosion and friction between asphalt and aircraft tire, all were in panic especially mothers and children," Afrianto said.
According to him, after passing the runway area, passengers still inside the plane for about 20 minutes until finally a number of passengers opened the emergency door.
"Women and children left the plane through the emergency door, I myself went down through plane stairs," Afrianto continued, adding that two of passengers were evacuated by ambulance," he cited. (*)
