President Yudhoyono, Ronaldo to Launch "Save Mangrove"

Jakarta (Antara) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo are scheduled to launch "Bali Save Mangrove, Save Earth" campaign in Ngurah Rai Forest Park, Bali, on June 26, 2013. The Indonesian head of state will be accompanied by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono and a number of ministers during the event, the cabinet secretariat said in a statement here on Monday. Indonesian Forestry Minister Zulkifli Hasan will present a certificate to Ronaldo as an envoy of the Bali Mangrove Care Community on the occasion. As the mangrove envoy, Ronaldo is expected to help promote the preservation of mangrove and other biological diversity. During his stay in Bali President Yudhoyono will also receive reports on the preparations for the APEC Summit which will be held in Bali from October 5 to 7, 2013. (*)
