Jakarta - Popular anti corruption activist Teten Masduki threw his support for Rieke Diah Pitaloka as candidate for West Java governor in the upcoming election. Teten said he would be interested only in becoming the running mate for Rieke, a potential candidate of the opposition Indonesian Democratic Party for Struggle (PDI-P). "Among the existing candidates, I am interested only in becoming Rieke's running mate," Teten said on Monday without giving reason for his choice. He said he had discussed with the former film actress ideas of reform to be promoted in the pre election campaigns to win the election. . He said he had been proposed to be running mate for two other candidates, but he would accept only to go with Rieke. The decision is yet to be made expected early next month by the country's third largest party based on the past election. He said there are many things to be redressed in West Java such as the regional budget which is not oriented to the interest of the people and poor management of the environment. "More important is to create a clean bureaucracy in West Java," the founder of the popular Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) said. (*)
