President to Install Yogyakarta Governor Wednesday

Yogyakarta - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is for the first time scheduled to install governor and vice governor of Yogyakarta special province here on Wednesday following the approval of the special provincial law. "It is special because he (the president) has so far never install governor," said State Secretary Minister Sudi Silalahi here on Wednesday morning. The installation of Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X and Paku Alam IX respectively as governor and vice governor of Yogyakarta will take place based on law number 13/2012, Silalahi said. Based on the new law, in case the president has an obstacle to install the governor, president can ask the vice president or home affairs minister to replace him, Sudi added. (*)
