Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi emphasized the importance of the role of women's organizations, including Fatayat Nahdlatul Ulama, in raising parents' awareness about fulfilling children's nutritional needs.
"The role of Fatayat Nahdlatul Ulama is very important and strategic, especially in terms of providing nutrition and nutritious food for children," Fauzi remarked here on Wednesday.
The minister made the statement during a talk show titled "Collaboration in Commemorating National Children's Day 2025: The Importance of Nutritious Food and Fortification in Fulfilling Iron Needs to Prevent Anemia in Children."
She stated that fulfilling children's nutrition must be a top priority within families to build a quality generation aimed at achieving the Golden Indonesia 2045 target.
"We must raise awareness among young mothers who have toddlers or school-aged children that nutritional fulfillment must be a top priority in the family. To build a quality generation, several aspects are needed, and one of them is health," she affirmed.
The minister also emphasized the need for synergy and collaboration between ministries, agencies, and community organizations to achieve Golden Indonesia 2045.
"We express our gratitude to Fatayat Nahdlatul Ulama and the Ministry of Health for their synergy and collaboration in realizing a healthy, strong, and empowered future generation," she remarked.
Earlier, House member Eko Kurnia Ningsih stated that the central government ensures children's nutritional intake in Indonesia through the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program.
She noted that the government has provided proper and equitable access to nutrition, with the expectation of producing a healthy, intelligent, and globally competitive generation in the future.
