Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto summoned ministers in the Red and White Cabinet to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday for an internal meeting to discuss various crucial social welfare issues, including social assistance mechanisms, and teacher's salary.
Several ministers seen arriving at the Presidential Palace included Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf, Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti, and Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni.
"We will report our work related to the right targets for social assistance," Minister Iskandar stated at the Presidential Palace here on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Minister Mu'ti also said he would report on the commemoration of National Teachers' Day, the New Student Admissions (PPDB) through zoning, and teacher salaries.
In his statement, Mu'ti called on President Prabowo to open the peak event of the National Teachers' Day commemoration on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the Velodrome, Rawamangun, East Jakarta.
"The president was requested to open the peak event of the Teachers' Day commemoration on November 28," Mu'ti remarked.
In addition to the commemoration of National Teachers' Day, Mu'ti will deliver a report on teachers' salaries.
"Teachers' salaries too (it will be discussed)," he remarked.
