ASEAN Foundation Chief Speaks at Discunssion in Bappenas

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Executive Director of the ASEAN Foundation Dr. Makarim Wibisono was invited by the Ministry of National Development Planning Agency (BAPPENAS) as speaker during the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) II here recently. The discussion on "Study on Identification of International Climate Change Funding and Strategy on its Utilization for Indonesia" was held in BAPPENAS building and attended by around 20 representatives from government agencies, non-governmental organizations, universities, bankers and experts. Dr. Makarim Wibisono delivered a presentation titled "Managing Endowment Fund and Trust Fund at the ASEAN Foundation: How the Systems Work". He shared knowledge on how the ASEAN Foundation is managing its endowment and project funds and also the policies apply in managing the funds. This FGD was conducted in order to assist the Study on Identification of International Climate Change Funding and Strategy on its Utilization for Indonesia. This FGD is under the charge of BAPPENAS's expert staff. This forum is one among a series of activities which are carried out to exchange views and expertness on how to manage funds effectively to achieve its objectives.
