Israeli Air Strike Kills Two Palestinians in Gaza Strip

Gaza City (ANTARA/AKI) - Two Palestinians were killed and a third was injured on Tuesday when Israeli warplanes fired a missile at the central Gaza Strip, Palestinian medical officials said, cited by Palestinian news agency Maan. Two bodies and an injured man were evacuated from the village of Al-Masdar in central Gaza to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. Maan quoted doctors as saying the injured man was in serious condition. Israeli media said the air force targeted a group of militants attempting to fire a projectile. Army Radio quoted the Israeli army as saying the airstrike was carried out to prevent an attempt by a terrorist cell to launch rockets into Israel from Gaza.
