Jakarta (ANTARA) - Some 17 heads of state have confirmed their presence at the inauguration of president-elect Joko Widodo and vice president-elect Ma'ruf Amin on Sunday, October 20, Chief of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Bambang Soesatyo said.
"Seventeen heads of state, heads of government and special envoys have confirmed their presence tomorrow," Soesatyo said following the rehearsal of presidential and vice presidential inauguration at the parliament building in Jakarta Saturday.
Among the heads of state are Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Muhammad, and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

A total of 168 ambassadors will also be present at the inauguration ceremony.
In addition to foreign dignitaries, MPR has also invited national figures including Indonesia's fifth president Megawati Soekarnoputri and sixth president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, as well as Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno who competed against Widodo and Amin in the April 17, 2019 presidential election.
"Alhamdulillah (thank God), they all have confirmed their presence," he said.
Meanwhile, MPR Secretary General Ma'ruf Cahyono said preparations for the presidential inauguration including the rehearsal have reached the final stages.
"We have just completed the rehearsal. I think the preparations have reached the final stage in terms of planning," he said.
