London, UK, (Antara) - Indonesia is promoting a hotel chain named Hotel Indonesia Group (HIG) at the World Trade Market in London, which will be held from November 7 to 9.
Iswandi Said, Hotel Indonesia Natour's President Director, said here on Wednesday that the hotel belongs to the State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) Ministry.
The hotel group supports the government program in attracting more foreign tourists, especially from Europe, including the UK, he added.
The establishment of Hotel Indonesia Group is in line with tourism, which is Indonesia's core business.
Iswandi said that Hotel Indonesia Group is the biggest hotel chain in Indonesia that synergizes all the SOE's hotels.
Currently, Hotel Indonesia Group consists of 26 hotels, 7 of which belong to Aerowisata, 12 to Hotel Indonesia Natour and 7 to Patra Jasa.
Those hotels, from two-star to five-star classes, spread out in several strategic places.
Hotel Indonesia Group is aimed to compete with other hotels whose chains have been expanding globally, Iswandi said.(*)
